Interpersonal Communication: Bridging the Gap |
1 day |

|
Description |
||
|
The success of any organization depends on the
communication skills of all its employees.
The same can be said of personal relationships. As people effectively share thoughts, feelings,
and insights with one another, misunderstandings can be avoided and better
decisions can be made. Good communication seems deceptively easy. Even if we each had the same background, or
if we had each grown up living and working in close proximity to one another,
we would still be living in our own unique world. This makes communication challenging. As we learn to build a bridge between our world and the
world of another individual, the isolation, separation, and frustration we
many times feel will diminish. We will
also gain the insights needed to make better decisions. This can lead to greater success in our
organization, greater satisfaction among our customers, and greater
effectiveness for our fellow employees. |
