We don’t yet know how Artificial Intelligence (AI) will change the workplace or society at large, but this much is certain: developing a fluency and intuition with these technologies is becoming increasingly important. So let’s get started.

Overview

Together we will overcome the initial AI learning curve by discussing the current state of play in AI, dispensing with some of our misconceptions about these technologies, and honing a set of strategies proven to get the most of our AI collaborators.

You will emerge from this class capable and confident about levering AI to work for you.

  • An overview of Open AI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude/Opus, and Google’s Gemini (formerly Bard), and which company and format you should select based on your interests, skillsets, and workplace role
  • Rule: always use the paid versions and frontier models

Part 2: All of Our Intuition about AI is Wrong

  • There is no instruction manual for AI. All of us, including the programmers currently designing it, are discovering its capabilities together.
  • Mindset shift: the property of emergence
  • Rule: It takes 10 hours.
  • Don’t Worry: AI is Not as Good as You are at Your Job

Part 3: Let’s Chat

  • How to Lose with AI

  • Misstep 2: The Hallucination Effect. Be very scared and employe the BPH (best possible human) rule to be constantly monitor.
