This workshop will explore ways to turn a negative outlook into a positive one.
Workplace negativity is like a virus of pessimistic behavior that spreads rapidly from one person to another. It can be “carried” to work or “caught” at work. As a matter of fact, it is highly contagious and can spread throughout a workplace if it moves unchecked. Negative reactions are certainly a normal part of life and can be expected from time to time. Negativity can serve to alert us to pending concerns or danger. It may cause us to think through a situation rather than jump in impulsively and take unnecessary risks.
It becomes problematic when it becomes routine or pervasive in an environment. Over time, it creates a downward spiral that draws almost everyone down with it. Instead of spurring action, it shapes an environment of apathy or resentment that dramatically erodes performance. And it only takes a single person to “poison” the workplace.
This workshop will explore ways to turn a negative outlook to a more positive one by increasing other’s awareness of the impact of their pessimistic outlook and its root cause. The reward for working through these issues is a healthier work environment and greatly enhanced productivity and collaboration.
Learn essential and advanced tools for negotiating with key stakeholders and Project Procurement Management.
Today’s ever-evolving global economy requires organizations to “do more with less.” As a result, organizations often have to look outside their own team or organization to source project delivery resources. This could be working with different functional or resource managers within the organization or collaborating with outside vendors, partners or providers. To be successful in this arena, project team members need to be better skilled in negotiations as well as procurement and sources processes.
Negotiation Skills for Project Professionals is a three-day, instructor-led, training class designed to introduce participants to the essentials and advanced tools associated with negotiating with key stakeholders and the Project Procurement Management knowledge area.
Learn concepts that every negotiator should understand and know how to apply

How to build a positive relationship with your boss
One of the most significant factors in our job performance and career success is the quality of our relationship with our boss and other executives. Whether it is the need for resources, support, or skill enhancement, a great deal of our effectiveness on the job is related to the “chemistry” that we share.
This program will examine the key elements in building a productive relationship with your boss that ensures your mutual success. Experience has proven that those who wait for their boss to initiate their interactions may receive less support and therefore accomplish less. In addition, those who advance are more likely to evidence a proactive collaboration with their direct report.
Are you buried in mountains of paperwork? Do you feel anxious and frustrated because you’ve been asked to accomplish the impossible – yesterday!?
Proficiency and productivity within today’s highly technical and diverse work environments requires managers, supervisors, group leaders and lead workers be able to do more with less within shrinking, consolidated operations.
It is vital that leaders and performers alike be able to “think outside the box!” This frequently means completing multiple projects while, at the same time, being faced with competing and at times conflicting demands, priorities with scarce human and capital resources.
This program provides a unique context within which each participant will gain a new perspective in managing both simple and complex tasks and projects with fixed and often limited amounts of available resources. All this within strict, customer requirements and time frames!
Learn techniques to foster creative and strategic thinking.
Today’s tough business climate demands innovation and the ability to think outside-the-box. That requires breaking free of our traditional thinking patterns and learning to think creatively in a deliberate and systematic way, not just when the inspiration occurs.
This one day workshop is designed for you and your colleagues to learn some creative thinking techniques while working as a team in looking for more creativity in strategic thinking, innovation, process improvement or marketing.
Communicating effectively is the lifeblood of remote teams.
As businesses compete on a national and international basis, there is the continuing need to work with teams that are remotely located and have little, if any, contact with the other group members and/or their manager. This presents leaders and team members with a number of unique challenges that have to be overcome if the business is to operate effectively.
This session focuses on the tools and techniques that work best in working with virtual teams in the pursuit of organizational objectives. Special attention will be given to planning and communication, as well as innovative ways to keep everyone highly motivated and focused.
This course can be a half or full day session.
This highly interactive seminar is designed to increase communication effectiveness in the areas of speaking and listening. Learn the skills that will improve your abilities and increase your value in the workplace.

- Making a positive first impression (and a strong permanent last impression)
Using the DiSC Personal Profile, you will learn the differences in how people communicate, and how you can increase your influencing skills by speaking the other person’s language.
